Adoration
Our parish is blessed to have a Eucharistic Adoration Chapel, which is located in the
church. The chapel is on the end of the church and there is a dedicated entrance to the chapel off the parking lot. This entrance is handicap accessible. Scheduled adorers are given the combination to enter the chapel throughout the day and night. To schedule your holy hour of adoration, please call 524-0500.
What is adoration?
Adoration is an ancient tradition of the Church. As Catholics we believe that at the consecration during the Mass, the bread and wine cease to exist and in their place are the body and blood, soul and divinity of Jesus. This is the Eucharist. The Eucharist is not simply a symbol or a sign of Jesus - Jesus is really present under the appearance of bread and wine. At Mass we can be in communion with Jesus in the Eucharist. Outside of Mass, we can visit Jesus (who is present in the Eucharist). Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is when we pray to Jesus who is before us in the Eucharist.
