“I used to pray that God would feed the hungry or do this or that, but now I pray that he will guide me to do whatever I’m supposed to do, what I can do. I used to pray for answers, but now I’m praying for strength. I used to believe that prayer changes things, but now I know that prayer changes people, and we change things”. -Mother Teresa

Service

Blessed Teresa (BTC) School is centered around service. Service is a huge part of our students' lives, beginning in preschool and continuing through 8th grade. At BTC, we aim to engage our students in many service opportunities throughout their time here so that they will grow and continue to be servants of Christ throughout their life-long journey.

St. Vincent de Paul Society

Our 7th grade students volunteer each week at our local food pantry. In addition, they spend time at the St. Vincent's Care Center preparing the Christmas store. Once a month the whole school comes together to make sandwiches for the "Feeding God's People" program through St. Vincent's.

Angels Among Us

Our primary grades make cards and craft projects for the homebound each month, bringing joy to those in need.

Whole Kids Outreach

Our whole school and parish community comes together to run a toy drive leading up to the Christmas holidays that benefits the children of the Whole Kids Outreach program.

BTC Food Pantry

At Blessed Teresa of Calcutta School, our middle school students have meaningful opportunities to give back to the community. Student groups actively support the BTC Food Pantry, helping to stock shelves, organize donations, and assist community members in need. Through these experiences, students learn the importance of compassion, responsibility, and service, seeing firsthand how their efforts can make a difference in the lives of others. By participating in community service, BTC students not only live out our core virtues of Respect, Responsibility, and Kindness but also develop empathy, leadership skills, and a lifelong commitment to helping others.
