Student Life
At Blessed Teresa of Calcutta School, we are dedicated to nurturing the whole child—academically, spiritually, and socially. Our students are guided by our core virtues of Respect, Responsibility, and Kindness, which shape how they interact with others, approach learning, and contribute to the community. By fostering a safe and supportive environment, BTC empowers students to grow with integrity, make thoughtful choices, and develop the character and skills needed to succeed in school and in life.
Curriculum
At Blessed Teresa of Calcutta School, our K–8 curriculum is designed to provide a strong academic foundation while fostering curiosity and critical thinking. Students receive daily instruction in Math, Reading, Writing, and Spelling, building essential skills that prepare them for success at every grade level. In Science, we emphasize hands-on learning and STEM activities, allowing students to explore concepts through experiments, problem-solving, and inquiry-based projects that connect classroom lessons to the real world. Social Studies instruction encourages understanding of history, communities, and global perspectives. Our Religion curriculum is centered on Catholic teachings, helping students grow spiritually through scripture, prayer, and service, and integrating faith into daily life. This balanced approach ensures that students thrive academically, socially, and spiritually throughout their years at BTC.
Practical Arts
At Blessed Teresa of Calcutta School, students enjoy
Technology, Physical Education, Art, and Music classes each week, giving them a well-rounded educational experience. Technology classes help students build digital skills and confidence, while PE promotes health, teamwork, and physical fitness. Our
Art and Music programs are especially important, as they encourage creativity, self-expression, and an appreciation for culture. By integrating the arts into weekly instruction, BTC ensures that students not only excel academically but also develop imagination, problem-solving skills, and a lifelong love for learning.
Service
At Blessed Teresa of Calcutta School, we believe that service is an essential part of education and faith. Students are encouraged to participate in a variety of service opportunities throughout the year, both within the school and in the wider community. From helping classmates and organizing school-wide projects to supporting local charities and outreach programs, students learn the value of giving back, compassion, and making a positive difference in the lives of others. These experiences help them grow as responsible, caring, and socially aware individuals.
Activities and Clubs
At Blessed Teresa of Calcutta School, students have the opportunity to
participate in athletics including
soccer, basketball, and golf, helping them develop teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship. Beyond sports, BTC offers a variety of
after-school programs to engage students’ interests and talents, including
Running Club, Robotics, Chess Club, and Drama. These activities provide fun, hands-on learning experiences, encourage creativity and problem-solving, and help students build friendships while exploring new skills outside the classroom.
